- Letter of Invitation by the Guarantor (original).
- Document proving the stated nature of relationship between the Applicant and the Guarantor (photograph's, letters etc). If none are available, the Guarantor will explain the relationship in writing.
- If staying with friends, relatives or acquaintances, the proof of stay with address and all contact details are required.
- If the visit is being funded by the Applicant proof of funds in the form of Tax Payment Certificates or Bank Documents are required.
- If the visit is being funded by the Guarantor any one of the following documents are required: Tax Payment Certificate, Bank Documents, Final Income Tax Return or Income Tax Certificate.
- If Guarantor is a foreigner a copy of his Alien Registration Card is needed
- Other requirements are the same as for a tourist visa.
- Visa issued is valid for 90 days with a maximum stay of 90 days.
- Processing time is 1 day.

- Company Registration Certificate (copy).
- An Original Letter of Invitation from Business Associate/ s in Japan.
- Copies of Business Correspondence.

- Indian Seamen travelling on duty must hold a Letter of Guarantee from the Shipping Company with Seamen Book and passport.
- A fax message from the Shipping Company in Japan to the Embassy is required. It should state the particulars of the Seamen and the date and port of joining the Ship.
- Visa issued is valid for 90 with a maximum stay of 90 days.
